INDIA - Hill Forts of Rajasthan

The serial site, situated in the state of Rajastahan, includes six majestic forts in Chittorgarh; Kumbhalgarh; Sawai Madhopur; Jhalawar; Jaipur, and Jaisalmer. The ecclectic architecture of the forts, some up to 20 kilometres in circumference, bears testimony to the power of the Rajput princely states that flourished in the region from the 8th to the 18th centuries. Enclosed within defensive walls are major urban centres, palaces, trading centres and other buildings including temples that often predate the fortifications within which developed an elaborate courtly culture that supported learning, music and the arts. Some of the urban centres enclosed in the fortifications have survived, as have many of the site's temples and other sacred buildings. The forts use the natural defenses offered by the landscape: hills, deserts, rivers, and dense forests. They also feature extensive water harvesting structures, largely still in use today.

Parece que existe una serie de postales en la India que muestran el conjunto de lugares UNESCO, porque casi todas las que me llegan de allí tienen un formato parecido. El sello de la postal me ha encantado, mostrando un tipo de tortuga endémica de la zona y además en formato triangular! 

Tal vez lo único que no me ha acabado de chocar es el comentario, es de las pocas cosas que me disgustan de cambiar postales y es la necesidad frenética por intercambiar postales, hasta el punto que el comentario (único) de la postal se refiere a poder conseguir más de ellas. Por supuesto que yo colecciono postales, pero me gusta que cada postal tenga un trocito interesante aparte de la muestra grafica; cualquier cosa me vale, una anécdota, un chiste o un dato curioso (o incluso un dibujito o pegatinas!), pero no oferta de transacción, para ello ya hay otros medios. Es el contenido lo que me gusta, por encima de la propia postal, y este tipo de frases solo devalúa el concepto e idea original del intercambiar postales, mostrando una enorme falta de interés en aportarle algo al receptor y transformándose en lo que yo cito como "postal egoísta".
